Workshop "Towards the Future of Biodiesel” in Graz
The Workshop "Towards the Future of Biodiesel” is organized by the Institute of Chemistry of the University of Graz and takes place in Hotel Weitzer in the city center of Graz at September 18th and 19th, 2014.
Highlights are the latest news on the political framework for biofuels, presented by Dieter Bockey from UFOP, the latest developments of modern engine technology, presented by Dr. Herwig Ofner, Project Manager R&D, AVL, Austria, as well as sustainability requirements by Gerfried Jungmeier, Joanneum Research. Further key-note presentations are covering the current situation in the leading feedstock producing country Argentina as well as activities on microalgae fuels Korea.
Final results from the KORANET project “Promofuels” are presented by key researchers from University Coburg, University Graz and Korean Institute of Energy Research, dealing with production, characterization and emissions of biodiesel from non-food feedstocks including highly unsaturated material. A special technical session “Stability and Interactions of Biodiesel” covers latest research developments.
The attendance to this workshop is free of charge, but registration is obligatory. Also special rates for accommodation at the event hotel are available.
